Two markets. One person who has worked in both.

West meets Battery is the consulting practice of Adrian de Riz. Since 2017 it has taken Chinese batteries, equipment and e-mobility products to Europe, and European brands to China.

Why both sides.

Most advisers know one market well. The battery industry needs people who have worked inside both. Adrian studied in China, sold Chinese batteries and equipment into European factories, and ran business development for a Chinese manufacturer from its headquarters in Suzhou. He knows what a European plant manager expects, what a Chinese general manager needs to hear, and how far apart those two things usually are.

How we work with you.

Remote from Hannover for research, preparation and coordination; on site in Europe for customer meetings, negotiations, installation and acceptance; in China when the project needs a face in the headquarters.

What we stand for.

Facts before adjectives. Every claim on this site has a project behind it. Both sides are treated as partners, not problems – the differences are real, and our job is to say what to do about them.

Let's talk about your first European project.
